Thanks
to Don Clapp, our new Program Coordinator, and our September and
October program presenters for kicking off our new year with
outstanding programs.
In
September Dave Cone, author, outdoorsmen and naturalist gave a
riveting program that included his philosophy about the definition
of true wilderness and the difference between wilderness and
wildness. Dave was
instrumental in the creation of Crowders Mountain State Park. To read more about the its

In
October Dave Brown, CPCC outdoor instructor (known to many of us as
the person who tried valiantly to teach us to roll a kayak), showed
picturesque slides and shared tales of his travels to
Alaska.
